What is Operation Sindoor?

What Is Operation Sindoor: After the death of innocent civilians in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India gave a befitting reply within 14 days. The Indian Air Force carried out air strikes on 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK under 'Operation Sindoor' on the night of 6-7 May 2025. All the pilots and soldiers involved in the attack returned safely.

India's 24 missile attacks confirmed:

Jaish-e-Mohammed's stronghold in Ahmedpur East, Bahawalpur targeted: Four attacks took place near Subhan Masjid in Ahmedpur East, Bahawalpur, which is considered to be the main base of Jaish-e-Mohammed and its chief Maulana Masood Azhar.


Terrorist hideouts targeted: Attacks were carried out at places like Bilal Masjid and Subhan Masjid in Muzaffarabad, which are said to be linked to terrorist activities. 8 terrorists have been confirmed killed in these attacks.

Attacks in many places including Sialkot, Kotli and Muridke: DG ISPR also confirmed attacks in areas like Sialkot, Muridke, Kotki Lohara, Shakargarh and Kotli, which created panic in Pakistan. 

'Operation Sindoor' is not only a reply to Pakistan, but it is also a proof of India's strategic and diplomatic capability on the international stage. This makes it clear that now India does not shy away from responding to terrorism in its own language.

Second major retaliation after Balakot:

This operation is considered to be India's second major retaliatory action in Pakistan after the Balakot air strike of 2019. Six years after the Balakot strike following the Pulwama attack, India has once again made its strategy clear against terrorism by giving a decisive response.
